A Week In My Life! - Recap!

I've seen a lot of bloggers do "recap posts" for their week and I happen to enjoy reading them, so I figured that I'm going to incorporate those into my blog as well! A lot of these pictures I used on my Instagram stories, but sometimes they expire before people have the chance to check them out!

On Sunday, I woke up around 8, like normal, and the first thing I always do is watch the sunrise. It honestly is so beautiful and relaxing and the mix of my coffee brewing and the sun rising just makes me happy. I've always been a morning person. I do stay up late a lot, because Daniel is a night owl, but no matter how late I stay up, I always wake up early. My internal clock makes me wake up. I can't stand sleeping in.

But Leilani and I had plans to go to the movies and see, 'A Wrinkle In Time'. It was so good! At one point I remember looking over at Leilani and she was crying!! Poor baby. There was a couple sad parts in it, but it was very good!

When we got back home, Daniel and his dad were out in the backyard setting the posts for our new fence and then they moved a small shed that we keep out zero turn lawnmower in, all the way across our backyard and into the other part of our property by our barn. It looks so much better there. I wish I had gotten a picture of Daniel pulling it upside down with his mower because it was hilarious, but I was seriously impressed with how well it worked!

Leilani and I just hung out on the back deck and watched them because the sun was out and it felt so nice out! I was so excited because I was thinking that maybe Spring was finally here to stay. Her and Ella, our dog, were lounging on my chaise lounge and sunbathing. It was adorable!

A little later, Daniel and Leilani decided to start a little bonfire with one of the huge piles of brush that we have from all the trees and brush we've had to cut down to build our fence and get all the dead trees and other things out from around our pond.

I didn't feel like doing much, so I just laid on my chaise and watched them and soaked in all the sun I could! Leilani loves hanging out with Daniel and doing stuff around our property! She's such a tomboy and loves to get outside and get her hands dirty! She is just way too cute!

Monday morning, started off like normal with my sunrise and coffee. I had to take Leilani to school and then when I got home, I kind of just hung out and worked on the blog.

The cable guy came over to fix whatever was making the internet mess up and after 2 hours, it was finally fixed! We kept having to restart the router and the internet kept dropping if more than one of us was on the internet at once. It was super annoying!

I had a Kind bar for breakfast. They are my favorite protein bars, by far! They taste so natural and are filling. Plus, the flavors they come out with are amazing!

Around lunch time, I was ready to make something good. I decided on hamburger stuffed bell peppers. They are so good and filling, plus, each one is only 4 net carbs!

I hung out and worked on the blog some more and worked on tagging some of the things we wanted to put into our booth that we have a flea market place. Daniel and I have been wanting to rent a space for a long time, and we figured there's no better time than now to do it, so we did!

It's been pretty good so far! We've only had it for a little over a week and have sold enough items to cover the first month we paid and half of the second month! Pretty exciting! Daniel is always hard at work, making chalkboards and other things we want to sell!

On Tuesday, I worked more on the blog and hung out with the puppies! I left home early to head over to my grandparents to pick Leilani up, because it was already starting to sleet/rain. I knew that the temperature was dropping quickly and I needed to get to Leilani and back home within an hour since I live 20 minutes away from everything!

As soon as I got to my grandparents, the sleet had developed into balls almost hail-like. It was crazy and I was not happy!

When I finally got back home it was almost 5pm, so I got us out of our coats and let the dogs out and that's when the snow started. It wasn't big flakes and coming down quick or anything, but man, was it cold!!

Buzz is an Australian Shepherd who LOVES being outside and especially when it snows and it's cold. He was in his element when the snow started. I actually got the cutest picture of him sitting on the back deck, looking out into our yard. I couldn't help but snap it and share it on my instagram! Ella hates being outside, unless it's 70 degrees and sunny!

I cooked an early dinner and made Leilani's favorite, my homemade (and own recipe), Hamburger Stroganoff. She always asks me to make it. I know it's not the healthiest option for dinner, but it was cold, we were hungry, and pasta makes me happy! haha

I had seen that my youngest sister posted something about getting a foot tattoo on her ista stories, so I immediately facetimed her to see what she got! I had no clue that her or my mom were going to get foot tattoos, but they turned out really cute! We ended up facetiming for 3 hours!! It was crazy. She had taken her ACT that day, but had another important test the next day involving her getting into the Vet program at a university, so I helped her study some. It was pretty funny, because when it came to the farm animals, I knew most of the answers already!

After that I was starting to get a stuffy nose and headache so I made myself a cup of tea and cuddled up and watched some crime shows.

On Wednesday, I got woken up at 4:30 from the school district calling to let me know that school was canceled for the day. Yay, yet another snow day. We're getting cut short of our summer due to make up days. I went into Leilani's room to shut off her alarm and went into the kitchen to look outside and see what mess we had. But it didn't look much different than the night before. I figured the roads were bad maybe, then went ahead and went back to sleep.

I woke up a couple hours later when Daniel's alarm went off for him to get up for work. I got up and started my day like normal, but as I walked into the kitchen and looked out the french doors to the yard, there was snow everywhere! I'm not kidding, it was the most snow we've ever gotten since we've lived in this house. I couldn't even see the closest neighbors house because there was snow everywhere and it was still snowing! We ended up with 11 inches! I still can't believe it.

I went in to tell Daniel and his dad told him that there was no work for the day since the roads were so bad. Daniel and his dad have a remodeling business, so it kind of helps us out that they can make their own schedules.

Anyways, we all decided to get up and get dressed for the day, even though we couldn't go anywhere! haha But before that, Leilani decided to have a little concert in the kitchen and play her guitar for us! She's so cute and doing so well on learning!

Leilani and I LOVE ghost shows, especially Ghost Adventures, so of course, we had to watch it all day.

That fireplace mantle is new to our living room. We got it for $29!!! Such a steal! I'm going to refinish it. I'm thinking about painting it white since our living room is smaller and making it lighter will make it not only stand out more, but make sure the living room doesn't look more closed in. I'm so excited to do it! The tan looking marble on it has got to go. I'm thinking about trying to find a stick on tile in a white and grey marble to match the flooring in the kitchen and bathroom.

I hardly ever get on Snapchat much, just to see what other people are posting and looking at what my friends and family send me, but that day I was all about taking pictures with their filters.

For dinner I baked some chicken and sauteed some veggies. They were sooo good! I really wanted some rice, so I got out the pressure maker and the basmati rice and made some.

A little bit later, Daniel really wanted Starbucks, so the three of us hopped in the truck and headed into town to get it! We are obsessed with it! Daniel's mom always gives us gift cards to it and I have them connected to my Starbucks app so we can make sure we get those stars! haha

I bought this shirt from Walmart last week and it's from their new and amazing line called, Time and Tru. Seriously, their stuff is so cute and soooo well priced! I fell in love with the flowy and off the shoulder look, so I needed to get it! Plus, it was only $13!!

I had to take a pretty picture with the sunset in the background to show off the pretty backdrop and my cute shirt!

I always get an Iced Soy Chai Tea Latte with light ice when I go to Starbucks, but I've been wanting to try it with almond milk, so I did this time. Let me tell you, it was so good! It made it creamier and just a little bit sweeter! I'm definitely going to order it like that from now on.

It was so foggy all through town and on our street. I made Daniel stop so I could take a picture!

After we got home, I had to take a hot bath. It was freezing outside! A lot of people tell me that I'm always in the bath, and they're not lying! haha I take probably 4 or 5 baths a week. I don't wash my hair every day, sometimes I'll go 3 days without washing it since it's naturally curly and the more I wash it, the more damage it ends up doing to it, especially in the winter.

I went to bed around 11 that night and didn't get up out of bed again for the rest of the night!

On Thursday, Leilani had school on regular schedule, and luckily the roads were completely clear! I really hope that she doesn't have anymore snow days this year!

I didn't do much that day, because I didn't feel very well, so I didn't feel like cooking a big breakfast, so I ended up making a bowl of cereal and cut up a banana on top. I did work on the blog, tagged some items that we were putting in our booth, and cleaned the house. Lord knows it needed it! I actually find cleaning super relaxing and almost therapeutic. I like when I finish and the house smells clean and looks clean. It usually doesn't last very long since I have a 9 year old and 2 dogs who love to come in and out of the house constantly. haha

For lunch I made my new favorite recipe for stove top oatmeal! I'll make a blog post about that within the next couple of days, because it is amazing!

After I picked Leilani up from school, the three of us gathered up the items for our booth from our house and then headed over to drop them off.

We had some Lasagna for dinner that Daniel's mom made for us and it tasted so good.

After that, we really just hung out on the couch and relaxed while watching Ghost Adventures. I also read some of my favorite book called 'Love That Lasts' by Jeff and Alyssa Bethke. They are so amazing and inspirational and I honestly respect them so much. If you're a Jesus follower like I am, you should definitely check them out. Their instagram's are cute and full of fun family stuff and also posts about the Bible and God.

I was reading their book and found this passage in it and immediately had to screenshot it and post it on my instagram story and share it.

On Friday, I had more house work to finish up and then I decided to shower and get ready and make myself look decent. I went over to my grandparents house to hang out with my nephew and I had so much fun with him. I had on these heeled bootie shoes and he took them and was walking around in them. It was probably the funniest thing ever. He was cracking up! I didn't really take many pictures that day. I just was more focused on hanging out with family.

Daniel and I ordered in Chinese food for dinner. I got steamed veggies and beef and broccoli. Then we called in a night and headed to bed. We both were out in no time!

Well, that was it for my week! I'm hoping that you liked it. I know it was long, but I think it was kind of fun to make! Hopefully you think so too! If you have any questions to ask me, or any specific posts you'd like me to write about, let me know!
